Refund & Cancellation Policy

Formation services (Launch, Accelerate, Complete)

Refunds of our service fee follow how far your work has progressed:

  1. Before document generation begins

    Full refund

    You've answered questionnaires but we haven't generated your documents yet. 100% of our service fee back, no questions required (though we'll ask one, politely, to learn).

  2. After documents are generated

    50% refund

    Your articles, bylaws, policies, or IRS forms have been generated — the substantial part of the work product exists. Half of our service fee back.

  3. After a filing is submitted

    No refund

    Once anything has been submitted to a state or the IRS, the work is done and government fees are spent. No refund of our fee — but the approval guarantee below still applies.

Government fees

State filing fees and IRS user fees are itemized separately at checkout and passed through at cost. Before we've paid them to the government, they're refunded in full alongside any refund of our fee. Once paid to a government agency, they follow that agency's rules — we can't refund money a government has received.

The approval guarantee

Separate from the schedule above: on the Accelerate and Complete tiers, if the IRS issues a final determination declining your application for exemption, we refund our service fee in full — even though the filing was submitted long ago. Conditions and details are in our terms, and they're short.

Operate suite subscriptions

Cancel anytime, from your account, in a couple of clicks — no phone call, no retention script. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then. We don't prorate partial periods.

You will get a reminder email before every renewal charge — monthly or annual, every subscription, every time. If a charge ever surprises you, that's our failure: write to us and we'll make it right.

How to request a refund or cancel

Subscriptions: cancel in-app under Billing. Formation refunds: email support@causecentral.org from your account email. We confirm within 2 business days and refunds go back to your original payment method.
